I proved them wrong by doing something right
About 8 years ago in kindergarten, I met the greatest guy, Jason. We were the best of friends back then. After 2nd grade, I moved to a new neighborhood, and for 3 years, I missed my best friend. When I started going to middle school, I saw him sitting at the lunch table next to mine.I was like, “HOLY CRAP!” And got my friend Ashley, who actually had a class with him, to reintroduce us. So through 6th grade, we became friends again, and he introduced me to his best friend, Jack. In 7th grade, Jack and I went out together, and Jason became my best friend once again. Sadly, they built another middle school, since ours was overflowing (most populated in the state). Jason went to Spillage while Jack and I went to Goodson. July before 8th grade, we broke up, and 2 months into the semester, Jack moved to Chicago. For a while I went out with another guy that didn’t last too long since it just didn’t work. Then it turned out, that Jason and I had fallen for each other. My other friends had always made fun of Jason and will probably never see him as boyfriend material, but I just felt that if I had learned from my mistakes, I knew that Jason was the greatest guy I knew. I knew Jason wouldn’t ever hurt me, abuse me, use me, or hide behind me. I proved my friends wrong that best friends make great boyfriends, by going out with one. He knows me better than I do and knows how to help me. So this was a short story, not that detailed, but I just wanted to put this up there to tell you guys and girls with friends to think about your friends. How many terrible break ups have you had to endure, but you got through it because he/she was there for you? How many times have you been abused by your parents and had them there to let you know you’ve only got a few more years of agony to go? How many memories have you made with them? Now I ask you why did they do this? Because they love you. Maybe not intimately, but they do at some level. So appreciate them for what they’ve done, and how they may have changed you for the better. Maybe they love you, and maybe they’re in love with you. But no matter what, you’ll have a best friend for life. So just remember that.
