The Fear

posted in Love Poems |

Thrown into a hole,
To deep to climb,
Running and running out of time
To make up my mind.
Slipping into a world
Of sex and drugs
And I’m just thrown into the mix,
Waiting to be ‘fixed’.

They’re friendly at first
But then you’ll see
How truly sick they’ll make you be,
Persisting so impatiently.

A girl filled with fear and confusion
Realizes that this is no illusion.
She’s leaving a life that she always knew,
And there’s nothing she can do.

The drugs, the beer,
Nothing is what it seems.
Everything’s changing right in front of her eyes,
And if she has to live in this new world, then she’d rather die.
